JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The College of Earth and Mineral Sciences of The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar position in Health and Environment to begin July 1, 2022. The position will involve being responsible for developing proposals, implementing research projects, organizing events and conferences, and supporting initiatives on health and environment at the University.

A successful candidate should have a strong background in health and environment, with demonstrated abilities to work independently, publish, and organize research projects and events. The position is based in the Department of Geography working under the supervision of Dr. Brian King (https://www.geog.psu.edu/directory/brian-king), and there will be opportunities to collaborate and interact with a broad group of faculty and students through HELIX (http://sites.psu.edu/helixlab/) and the multiple research institutes at The Pennsylvania State University.

A  Ph.D. in Geography or a related field by is required by the effective date of employment. .

This is a full-time Postdoctoral appointment funded for one year form the date of the hire. Funding is available for an additional year contingent on satisfactory performance.  Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
