The Public Humanities Fellowship program is open to any PSU Undergraduate Student with an interest in the Humanities, social justice, and media making. Graduate students in the Humanities are also eligible to apply, with the option to enroll in the courses or take an independent study for graduate credits.
The fellowship is comprised of two courses, with an honors option for Paterno Fellows and Schreyer Honors students. Further, the fall course is available for gen ed credit.

For undergraduate students only: Please include the name and email of a professional reference (such as a former or current faculty member, organizational leader, etc.) that we can contact via email to complete a brief recommendation form to support the application.
Application Deadline: Wednesday, March 1, 2023
Applicants will be notified in mid-March, in advance of class registration.
A Public Humanities Fellowship will be awarded to students upon successful completion of the following:
- Fall Course: Introduction to Public Humanities, LA235N (with grade of C or higher)
- Spring Course: Public Humanities Capstone Course, LA335 (with grade of C or higher)
