Citizen Artist, a new participatory science research opportunity employing art-based research methods and offering a mobile technology platform, empowers citizens who might not otherwise engage in participatory science research to get involved, with the potential of positively transforming our current environmental problems.

-Learn: Alternative field research methods applicable to creating solutions to our most pressing environmental issues. | How to bring diversity and inclusion to participatory science research projects using this interdisciplinary approach. | How these methods can be applied to social science research to study community driven environmental and social justice issues. 
-This on-line experiential course is for researchers, educators, leaders in community conservation, students, citizen science project managers, and others interested in alternative research methods for participatory science research applicable to field research or community driven citizen science projects. 

-This course is taught by Dr. Lee Ann Woolery, Research Director at Citizen Artist. With a focus on divergent ways of knowing, Dr. Woolery pioneered Art-Based Perceptual Ecology, an alternative interdisciplinary methodology for conducting ecological field research.  Dr. Woolery holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from Antioch University New England and a master’s degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. For more information on Dr. Woolery and her research go to:About Dr. Woolery
