Research Description

My expertise is in a social-ecological system in the western desert of Australia, working with people who traditionally were hunters and gatherers. I have developed a theoretical conceptual model of sustainability as an emergent property of the ecosystem services that individuals supply as they pursue their livelihoods.

Teaching Description

ANTH 559 Human Ecology, is focused heavily on interdisciplinary and cross cultural approaches to livelihoods and sustainability.
