Research Description

Linch focuses on the political conditions that develop and support people's ability to recognize and take responsibility for their obligations to other humans and other species that arise from our environmental interdependence. These conditions include the identities and values that people learn to embrace and the institutions through which intention and sentiment are coordinated for consequential action.

Teaching Description

Linch incorporates environmental concerns into courses in political theory and she teaches special topics courses on environmental governance. It is her view that sustainability should be mainstreamed in the curriculum in addition to being developed through particular courses.
